This New Church Year

As we look forward to the path the Lord is asking all of us to take, I am reminded again of Jim Collins’ statement, “Good is the enemy of Great.” We had a tremendous year, but we cannot set back and think “well, we’ve done all we can do.” No, ‘the fields are still white unto Harvest’. There are still people who have lost their way and need a Savior to lift them ‘out of the deep miry clay and set their feet on the Solid Rock to stay.’

The beginning of any plan that leads to bringing people into a proper relationship with Christ, must begin with prayer and fasting. May each of our Churches and leaders begin the process of finding God’s plan for them reaching their community for Christ with prayer and fasting.

The power of the Gospel is centered in the idea that we can and must bring “Heaven to Earth.” The idea that the Gospel changes lives and gives Hope to the Hopeless. This year we have been challenged to be ‘dealers in hope.’ May God help us bring hope to the hopeless and to see lives radically changed by the Power of Christ.
