A brand-new year with brand new opportunities, brand new challenges and brand-new blessings.
As we enter into this year, I wanted to remind you of our 1st strategic item which is Persistent Praying. When this article reaches you many of you will have completed the Daniel Fast, some will still be in it and others will be starting the Fast in the days to come.
Our goal is that every church will engage in this time of Prayer and Fasting.
Isaiah 58:6 contains these words for us.
“Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen:
to loose the chains of injustice
and untie the cords of the yoke,
to set the oppressed free
and break every yoke?
Let’s be a group of people who hunger and thirst for righteousness. Who wants to see the hand of God move in our personal lives, our church, our friends, our families, our laypeople and our Pastors.
We desire that chains be broken, habits smashed. We long for our Prodigals to come home. We want marriages restored. We hunger to see our altars lined with seekers. We crave for ‘one more’ to know Christ.
We do sing with Charity Gayle, I Speak Jesus. We whisper it, we cry it, we shout it, and we sing it.
“Jesus…oh there really is something about that name!”
