He never goes out of style

And he's still on television,

Sundays at 8am

With his caring and trusting ways, Mister Rogers creates a calm, safe place for children to learn about themselves, about others, and about the world around them. The show is geared primarily to 2 to 5 year olds, but appropriate for all ages. Watch on Prairie Public, Sundays at 8am!

Sharpen your crayons!

Children from kindergarten through 3rd grade are invited to write and illustrate their own stories to submit to the Prairie Public PBS Kids Writers Contest. The deadline for submissions is March 17, 2023. Find the rules and entry forms here.

Prairie Public appreciates teachers and wants to send them extra thanks for encouraging their students to participate in the contest. Teachers who submit entries for their students will receive a set of books for their classrooms and be entered to win one of three $100 Target gift cards.

Prairie Public engages families, childcare providers, and educators with innovative educational experiences from trusted media producers—like Prairie Public's own radio and television network, Sesame Workshop, NPR, and PBS.

We are committed to delivering outstanding content designed to cultivate knowledge, enrich lives, and extend the impact of public media.
