Estes Park International Tattoo
A military tattoo concert is a type of event that combines military music, marching, and often other forms of ceremonial display.
The term "tattoo" in this instance originates from a 17th-century Dutch phrase "doe den tap toe," which means "turn off the tap." It was a signal used by the military to instruct innkeepers to stop serving beer and for soldiers to return to their barracks.
The Estes Park International Tattoo Concert features performances by United States, Canadian, and Scottish Military Brass and Bagpipe Bands, along with the Estes Park International Tattoo Highland Dance Team. You will experience perfectly choreographed military drill displays, historical reenactments, Highland dancing, and performances featuring traditional military music, national anthems, and
contemporary pieces.
