Join the national Pax Christi USA community on Zoom this Thursday, June 20 at 8pm Eastern/5pm Pacific for the second of four online PAX Masses for 2024.

Many of you knew Sr. Dianna Ortiz, OSU, a Pax Christi USA Teacher of Peace and former national staff member, and each June Pax Christi USA remembers and elevates Dianna's witness in support of torture survivors and for the abolition of torture. We'll be asking for Dianna's intercession at the Mass, celebrated in commemoration of June as Torture Awareness Month. We are grateful that our colleagues at the Torture Abolition and Survivors Support Coalition, the organization Dianna founded, are co-hosting this month’s Mass.

The celebrant for this PAX Mass is Fr. Fred Thelen, a member of the Pax Christi USA National Council.

you don't need to register again.)

As part of the Mass, we'll be reciting Dianna's prayer, "Jesus, Our Tortured Brother Today," which is available in the Pax Christi USA online store at this link. It is an excellent resource for lifting up torture awareness and supporting torture survivors during this month. At the conclusion of the Mass, we'll offer a new PSA (Prayer-Study-Action) alert in observance of June as Torture Awareness Month and also send it out to all of our members on Friday.
