Dear Friends,

This has been a week of celebrating our freedom, time with friends and family, great food, and of course, fireworks! We truly are blessed to live in a country with all the freedoms we experience on a daily basis. Freedoms that came at a price for many. Let us also remember those that have fallen for our country during this week as well.

I can’t help but think about an even more important freedom that we have. The freedom we experience through the transforming grace and love of Jesus. Have you experienced it? How has it changed the way you live? How does it drive you to be different and live with purpose?

These are questions that our passage from James is going to address this Sunday. We'll talk about the difference between knowledge and wisdom and how knowing that difference changes everything. The world around us can easily confuse this truth and lead us down paths that only lead to empty promises. Sometimes not knowing what wisdom from above looks like can lead us to live out multiple lives within various aspects of our life, ultimately leading to more confusion and frustration.
