Our Invest Halton Hills team is hiring an Investment Attraction Coordinator (1 Year Contract). Reporting to the Manager of Investment Attraction, this position will focus on investment attraction activities in the Town’s target sectors, with the goal of attracting non-residential investments to Halton Hills.

Earth Week 2024: 22-Minute Makeover

On Monday, April 22, schools and businesses are encouraged to head outside to clean up where you spend your day!

Join the Government of Ontario for a free webinar to learn more about available supports and services for Ontario-based food and beverage companies. This webinar will provide insights into the various services that OMAFRA offers for business development including information sharing, available resources, programming and opportunities for building connections. These supports help Ontario companies with their growth and agri-food trade and investment.

Last Call: My Main Street Program

Applications are now open for My Main Street, a $15-million Government of Canada investment, through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario, to continue to support main street businesses and communities across southern Ontario.


My Main Street is being delivered by the Canadian Urban Institute (CUI) offering two streams that are currently open for applicants.


The Business Sustainability stream provides up to $20,000 directly to businesses for productivity enhancements.


The Community Activator stream funds up to $250,000 for high-impact community placemaking projects.


Don't miss this opportunity to apply for non-repayable funding that can support your business or community initiative. Applications are being accepted until March 31, 2024.

Summer Company 2024

Youth Entrepreneurship Program


The Summer Company Program helps enterprising students between the ages of 15 and 29 start and run their own summer business. The Halton Small Business Centre coordinates the program locally, and delivers it with the support of experienced business advisors from the community.


The Summer Company program offers young entrepreneurs:

  • hands-on business training and mentoring;
  • up to $1,500 in the spring to help with business start-up costs; and 
  • up to $1,500 upon successful completion of the program requirements.

Visit the Ontario government’s Summer Company website to:

  1. Make sure you are eligible for the program.
  2. Complete the online application inquiry.
  3. Select Oakville - HRSBC as your local program provider.
  4. Assign yourself a password.
  5. Submit your application inquiry


Application Deadline: May 17, 2024.
