July 18, 2024:

UB Projects Earn AI Funding

The University at Buffalo has received $200,000 to support four major AI projects. UB stood out among 40 applicants for the fund as the future home to the computing center for Empire AI. This program was implemented by Governor Hochul earlier this year to advance the usage of AI in New York State healthcare including at patient bedside and in clinic.

July 17, 2024:

AI Roundtable Meeting Between State & UB

A roundtable discussion was held between New York State lawmakers, the SUNY Chancellor, and the president of research and economic development at the University at Buffalo on July 17th. This discussion shed light on groundbreaking, current studies on Artificial Intelligence conducted by UB researchers to address everyday problems. This meeting promoted advancement in state policy formation surrounding AI implementation.
