CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

The CFA Society Saskatchewan (Society) is seeking nominations from members to join the Board of Directors for the 2024/2025 fiscal year, commencing July 1, 2024.

The Society is a member-based organization for local CFA Charterholders. It provides support for its members and candidates, professional development opportunities, and raises awareness of the CFA designation. The Society is the local face of the CFA Institute and collaborates with other Canadian Societies on initiatives.

Joining the Society Board provides members the opportunity to:

  • Shape CFA educational, programming, and networking events in Saskatchewan.
  • Support future CFA Charterholders through candidate education and outreach.
  • Raise awareness amongst Saskatchewan stakeholders as to the CFA designation.
  • Advocate on issues that affect CFA Charterholders.
  • Expand your finance network in Saskatchewan and abroad. The CFA Institute hosts Regional and Society Leader conferences each year attended by two or three Saskatchewan Board members. These conferences provide a setting to meet and learn from other Board members from societies in Canada and around the globe.

What the Society asks for in return:

  • Regular attendance at the monthly Board meetings (1-1.5 hours).

  • Attendance at semi-annual operational and strategic planning sessions.

  • Participate and, at times, lead key initiatives in: University Relations, Membership, Programming, Public Awareness, Advocacy, Employer Outreach.

  • Represent the Society at Society and other finance related events.

  • Terms are traditionally for 2 years, with up to 8 years possible.

Interested in becoming a Society Director? Please provide your CV along with a brief description of your interest to info@sask.cfasociety.org.
