What makes a painting interesting and how do we go about making confident decisions to achieve this in our own work?
We will be working from the still life and/or interior spaces, including our imaginations during this 3 day painting workshop. Learning to trust our intuitions, take chances and experiment with color, shape, and composition will be our focus. Let's abandoned the notion of painting "things" and rely more on form, space and color.
Demonstrations will be given throughout the course and each attendee will receive one-on-one guidance. We will not intend to "finish" anything.
This workshop is designed to be a low pressure experimental process, in which all of us will take away some valuable insight that can be incorporated into our daily painting rituals.
