Jessie has more than 40 years of stage experience from coast to coast as an actor, director, producer, and choreographer. Her most recent big day job was as the Executive Producer and Creative Director of Corporate Events for a Fortune 100 company.
More than a dozen years ago, she became fascinated with the spontaneous and unscripted world of improv. After intensive study in the San Francisco Bay Area (where she lived for 25 years), she began to teach, direct, and coach improv troupes weekly. She was a regular performing troupe member of several Bay Area improv groups, including Flash Mob Musical Improv at End Games and Awkward Face at Pan Theater.
A theater alum from Wichita State University, she learned from the best of ICT: Dr. Richard Welsbacher, Joyce Cavarozzi, Mary Jane Teall, and Audrey Needles, among others. She also was a student of improv notables in California’s Bay Area and around the country.
And now she brings her vast experience, deep knowledge, and passion back to her hometown of Wichita, Kansas. Flying Pig Improv has been aloft since 2019 and boasts over 300 shows, 7,000 delighted audience members, and 600 delightful students.
