 21 Day Fasting Schedule for January 2024

 

Week 1 - January 8-14 ESV

No Eating Sweets

 

January 8      Joel 2:12“Yet even now,” declares the Lord, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning;

January 9    Joel 1:14 Consecrate a fast; call a solemn assembly. Gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land to the house of the Lord your God, and cry out to the Lord.

January 10    Daniel 10:3 I ate no delicacies, no meat or wine entered my mouth, nor did I anoint myself at all, for the full three weeks.

January 11   Matthew 17:20 He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”

January 12   Revelation 1:1 The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants the things that must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John,

January 13  Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 

January 14  Matthew 16:19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”

 


Week 2 - January 15-21

No Eating Sweets or Meats

 

January 15   Philippians 3:8 Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ

January 16     Romans 12:12 Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

January 17   John 15:1-3 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you.

January 18   Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

January 19   1 Chronicles 16:11 Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!

January 20  1 Peter 1:15 but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 

            16 since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”

January 21   Joshua 1:9     Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

 



Week 3 - January 22-28

Water Only Until 4:00pm Continue Abstaining from Sweets and Meats

 

January 22-  Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

January 23  Hebrews 4:2 For good news came to us just as to them, but the message they heard did not benefit them, because they were not united by faith with those who listened.

January 24   John 16:33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.

January 25    Romans 8:37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

January 26   1 Samuel 30:8 And David inquired of the Lord, “Shall I pursue after this band? Shall I overtake them?” He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake and shall surely rescue.”

January 27    Psalm 150:2 Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his excellent greatness!

January 28   Psalm 145:3 Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable.
