Dear cyclist friends!

We are pleased to inform you that we have DROPPED our entrance fee to the original R625.00 for Ride Joburg 94.7.

Why ride for us?

Within the Jabulani elephant herd, there are 16 elephants that were all once orphans or rescued.

We are looking for 16 cyclists to ride represent and ride for an elephant each and raising funds for your chosen elephant for 1 month.

How do you raise money for an elephant by cycling 94.7?

  1. You will receive your own BackaBuddy profile sharing it with the elephant you chose to ride for.
  2. You will receive a HERD cycling jersey, HERD socks, HERD Buff and HERD cycling sleeves with your entry fee of R650.
  3. On this profile, the story behind why you want to ride 94.7 along with your elephants story will be displayed.
  4. People globally will be able to donate towards you riding the 94.7 in support for HERD and your elephant – see this as sponsorships from your friends and family.
  5. You will be given a target between R9000 that you can raise for your elephant to help pay its vet bills, feed it, pay for carers wages and more for 1 month.
  6. We will be having a prize giving after the 94.7 Ride Joburg to award the people who got the most donors to donate, and also to the person who raised the most funds.

How do I enter through HERD for 94.7?

  • Contact marketing@herd.org.za. You will receive a form to state which elephant you want to help and some personal details.
  • You will be given your own BackaBuddy profile in partner with your chosen elephant. You will be this elephants 'champion'.
  • You will be given a target of R9000 to try collect from donations - share this link so people can help you raise funds.
  • You will receive a cycle jersey, socks, buff and sleeves in HERD branding and a goodie bag before the big day – 20 November 2022.
  • After riding 94.7 on 20 November 2022, we will have a prize giving for the cyclist who raised the most funds, and the cyclist who got the most donors to donate.

Please do not hesitate to contact us for more information.

Kind regards

Nicole
