On February 4, the Library Foundation hosted a virtual event for more than 100 friends, family, library supporters, and community members to celebrate the latest graduates from our Career Online High School (COHS) program – a free, online, nationally accredited program that enables adults to earn a high school diploma and a career certificate in a high-demand career field.

The Library Foundation partners with the California State Library, and generous sponsors, to offer full scholarships to adult learners from diverse backgrounds. Since launching in 2016, the San José Public Library COHS program has awarded 217 scholarships. The Library's COHS program has a 70% graduation rate – the highest of similar programs in the nation!
