Statement
AAJA Condemns Anti-Asian Racism and Challenges Newsrooms to Prioritize Coverage of Anti-Asian Violence We applaud newsrooms (and AAJA members) who have already been covering the uptick in anti-Asian violence since the start of the coronavirus pandemic. We call on national and local media outlets to prioritize coverage of this ongoing violence against AAPIs, and to empower their journalists to report on these incidents immediately, accurately and comprehensively. Our 40th Anniversary
Are you interested in documenting AAPI leadership in journalism and Asian American history? Do you want to learn more about the journalists who came before you and to preserve their legacies? Please join AAJA's 40th Anniversary Committee to lend your skills and talent towards archiving the rich history of our journalists in history. Initial committee formation is underway, but we are keeping this opportunity open, so that this is an inclusive, grassroots effort that involves the entire #AAJAFamily.
