Tacit Gallery
Melbourne, Australia
May 31-June 18
Silk Road 207, 2014, 18 x 18
Conceived by master
paintmaker David Coles
and curated by artist
Louise Blyton, this
international exhibition brings
together a world of
pigments and the paintings
made from them in an
ambitious project that
looks at the history of color.
I won't be at the opening,
but if you go, please
introduce yourself to
Louise and David, and
send me pictures!

Spring in the Northeast was either too hot or too cold, and summer seems poised to follow the same pattern. Fortunately, art doesn't depend on the weather. I hope you'll take a look at what I've got going on in New York, New England, and as far afield at Australia. Thanks.

This exhibition is timed to coincide with the 11th International Encaustic Conference. Cherie Mittenthal, director of the Conference, and I, founder and former director, teamed up to
co-curate this exhibition, which considers dimension, actual and perceived, in sculpture and painting.
If you can't get to the exhibition, I've posted a walk-through on my blog. A catalog is available, and you may view it in its entirety
