St. James Episcopal Church - Westwood (Cincinnati) offers Jim Strader+ call as their Rector

Good Morning, I'm headed back to St. G's and the Shore later today. I've had a wonderful time with family and friends, even though the temperatures have been well above 100 degrees every day. The picnic did not come off as planned. :)

While, I was here, I received a telephone call from the Senior and Junior Wardens of St. James Episcopal Church in the Westwood neighborhood of Cincinnati. They extended an offer to me to come and serve among them as their priest, pastor, and presbyter. I have gratefully accepted their call. St. James is a wonderful parish with numerous strengths and opportunities. I believe that I am much better prepared and ready to serve them because of the many months that I have served you at St. George's By-The-River.

I want to thank everyone at St. George's for their thoughts, prayers, and friendship. Please continue to hold me and the faithful people of St. James in your thoughts and prayers as we embark on our shared pilgrimage with Jesus Christ in the months and years to come. I especially look forward to the two Sundays that you and I will celebrate the Eucharist with one another (July 10 and July 24) at st. George's. I will be at St. G's until the end of July except for one more week of vacation (7/11-7/18). I will begin my ministry at St. James the middle of August.

Blessings to all of you as Ophelia+ returns from her sabbatical as well as to Jeff+ as he arrives as St. G's next Curate.
