What are you escaping from this summer? Heat? Boredom? Bad television? It doesn't matter, really. Whatever you're escaping from, the perfect place to do it is at the 25th Annual Jewish Outdoor Escape, to be held this Labor Day weekend, Sept. 3 to 7, in the lovely Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania.

Early-Bird Registration begins June 10th for this extended weekend of activities, from Thursday night to Monday morning of Labor Day weekend. If that isn't enough, you have the option to extend the fun with a two-day pre-trip city tour of historic Philadelphia and a two-day post-event camping and canoeing trip to the nearby Delaware River. The entire event is sponsored by Mosaic Outdoor Clubs of America, and will attract well over 100 outdoorsy men and women. 

For those who have attended previous Mosaic events, you can expect the same legendary magic. You will experience daytime adventures like hiking, rafting, canoeing, cultural trips to nearby sites, and afternoons by the beach. Evenings will be spent socializing by the campfire or taking part in activities led by your fellow outdoor enthusiasts. All meals and most activity fees are included. You won't be bored.

If you haven't attended a Mosaic weekend before, you're in for a treat. You can join Jewish outdoor lovers from Mosaic chapters around North America - New York City, Florida, Toronto, Ohio, Boston, California and Maryland are just a few of the regions that draw attendees. Members, generally in their 30s to 60s, are outgoing, friendly and ready to have fun.

The event is hosted at Camp JRF in Newfoundland, PA., a well-kept summer camp with all the facilities needed for a weekend of fun. Food is simple and tasty with Kosher options. Standard housing  is in the camp cabins. A very limited quantity of singles, doubles and triples are available as well, using a combination of camp cabins and staff housing. For those who prefer to bring a tent and camp out, that option is available as well. 

With registration opening on June 10th at 12:01am EDT, there's plenty of time to plan your Labor Day weekend escape. Remember to sign up as soon as possible to ensure your place on all day trips and the housing of your choice - not to mention the early-registration discount that ends on June 24th.
