Join us in combating antisemitism this May as we honor Jewish American Heritage Month (JAHM). Established in 2006 by Presidential proclamation and recognized each year in the month of May, JAHM provides an opportunity for Jews and non-Jews alike to learn about and appreciate Jewish heritage and reflect on the specific history and experience of the American Jewish community.

Now more than ever, we honor Jewish American Heritage Month by standing together against rising hate and antisemitism in the United States.

Earlier this year, we joined the Foundation to Combat Antisemitism’s national #StandUpToJewishHate campaign to raise awareness of antisemitism and hate targeting Jews and establish the #🟦 emoji as a simple but powerful unifying symbol of solidarity and support for the Jewish community.

This month, you can help celebrate and highlight Jewish American heritage, culture, and contributions to our country by standing in solidarity with the American Jewish community.

Here are a few ways you can #StandUpToJewishHate this Jewish American Heritage Month:

  • Post and share #🟦 - on social media alongside a message of support for the Jewish community, including hashtags #MyJAHM, #OurSharedHeritage, and #StandUpToJewishHate.
  • Make your network aware of JAHM (JewishAmericanHeritage.org) and how they can use # 🟦 as a symbol of solidarity with Jewish Americans and to share the vibrant legacy, culture, and contributions of Jews throughout our nation's history.
  • Follow the #StandUpToJewishHate campaign at @StandUpToJewishHate on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok to keep up-to-date with #🟦 and related JAHM activities throughout May
  • Continue to lift up Jewish American history, heritage, and culture throughout the month of May in ways that are most relevant to you and your community, or share your story describing an instance where you’ve either encountered antisemitism or witnessed someone standing up against hatred towards Jews.
  • Order the iconic Blue Square pin to show your support and solidarity. You can get your pins at fcas.org/pins.

Together, we can continue to educate and empower all Americans to join us in this fight to Stand Up To Jewish Hate.
