Ceramics

Larry studied and created ceramics in Ohio, Arizona and in Isarel for many years in the past. Now, and after a hiatus of 26 years, he is creating again. His work is functional, beautiful, and reasonably priced. Come in and see for yourself.

Pete uses beautiful woods in many colors and textures to create boxes and containers for wine, jewelry and multiple other functions. He also offers distinctive wooden earrings.

Pete has always had a fascination with the natural world; mountains, rivers, desert.... and trees. . Pete enjoys creating objects that showcase the amazing diversity and beauty of natural wood and hopes people can enjoy his work because the beauty of the wood itself comes through to them. He uses sustainably harvested products and many of his pieces are made from locally obtained wood.

We are pleased that our featured artist during February and March will have a permanent presence in The Gallery. A selection of his fantastic jellies, straws, glass bamboo, colorful artifax, sake sets, wine bottle stoppers and goblets are still available at the Gallery.

"When given the right environment, glass seems to take on a form of its own that reflects the patterns in nature," VanGoethem said. "When I am blowing glass, it seems that the glass and I are working together to create the form." Chris works from his private studio in Los Osos, and his glass art can be found in galleries along the West Coast and in private collections.

Since 1999, Van Goethem has participated in numerous shows and won many awards for his work.

JULIE DUNN will be showing at the Indian Wells Arts Festival, April 6, 7 & 8. The show is held from 10 am - 5:30 pm, at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden, located off Washington St. and Miles Ave, between Hwy. 111 and Fred-Waring Drive in Indian Wells.
She is also still accepting students for her July 13, 14 & 15 Tempera Batik painting workshop. The class is held from 10 - 4 pm, Fri. - Sun. DOTTY HAWTHORNE is one of the artists featured at Embassy Suites during 2012 with a reception on Thursday, April 12 at 333 Madonna Road, 5pm. She also was juried into Pastels USA of the Pastel Society of the West Coast with her painting "Summer Vineyard".

Through May 24 the San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden hosts the 8th Annual "Art Eco- Connections with Nature" juried exhibit. This event features artwork from reclaimed or natural materials by GALLERY artists Rod Baker, Jack Biesek, Rich Lasiewski, Larry Le Brane, Richard Mortensen, Charles Varni & Mary Velasquez. JACK BIESEK, one of the artists participating in the Eco Art Show at the San Luis Obispo Botanical Gardens has seven sculptural works on display.

APRIL DAILY will be offering her cards, paintings and gourds at the XKS annual MS fund raising event at the ranch at 1771 Corbett Canyon Road in Arroyo Grande on Saturday, April 14, from 9am-5pm.

FOX AND LOIS GARNEY OF FOXLO will be showing their work at the Kliszawski Glass Spring Show, 2746 E. Lorena in Fresno on April 28 & 29.

SHARON GELLERMAN of ColorVibe designs is also participating in the MS Fund Raising event, a Car & Motorcycle show on Saturday, April 14th, 9am - 5pm at 1771 Corbett Canyon Rd.
