“Then Jesus declared, 'I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty,'" - John 6:35

Hello Four,

In the Gospel of John, Jesus gives us a picture of who He is through seven "I am" phrases. Through these descriptive phrases, He tells us that He is the only one who can provide eternal salvation.

Jesus says:

  1. "I am the bread of life," (John 6:35).
  2. "I am the light of the world," (John 8:12).
  3. "I am the door," (John 10:9).
  4. "I am the good shepherd," (John 10:11).
  5. "I am the resurrection and the life," (John 11:25).
  6. "I am the way, the truth, and the life," (John 14:6).
  7. "I am the true vine," (John 15:1).

He showed us mercy and made a way for us. Through His redemptive work, He will sustain us like bread satisfies our hunger and water quenches our thirst. He will guide us like a light in the dark and like a good shepherd who cares for his flock. He is the only door that will lead to the Kingdom of God. He is our source of strength like a vine that supports its branches. Jesus conquered death, resurrecting on the third day and providing eternal life. He is the way and we are called to follow Him.

Is God calling you to ministry? Four Corners Ministries needs more long-term missionaries to join the harvest at Abaana’s Hope. We ask you to please pray for a family, retired couple, or single person to join God’s mission to reach the people of Uganda with the gospel. Please talk with your pastor to see if there is someone that God is drawing to make disciples among the nations at your church. We are grateful for the missionaries that He has brought to Abaana’s Hope, and we trust that He will call more to join us in the harvest. We ask you to join us in praying that God will speak to the hearts of those he wants to come and make disciples among the Acholi people at Abaana’s Hope.

Message from Abaana's Hope Kitchen

I am so happy and praising God for the 10 of us working here at the kitchen. We make almost 700 meals a day when school is in session between breakfast and lunch. We Praise God for what He is doing through the help that comes from those supporting the ministry. We are thankful to be used by the Lord and send our prayers for all those who are praying for us here as well.

God bless!

Doreen

Please pray for the men and women working in the Abaana's Hope Kitchen and the Grist Mill as they prepare meals to feed the community. Please continue to pray for the crops and livestock at Abaana's Hope, that conditions will allow crops to grow and livestock to be healthy.

Until all have heard,
