Todd Talks - The Viera Company

On the Horizon

Wow! Time really does fly. Here we are in 2023 and I almost can’t believe it. A lot has happened in Viera and continues to do so every day. The same goes for CVCA and all of the events and projects we are working on.

In 2022, CVCA added two new community events – the 4th of July Picnic in the Park and Eye See You, Viera. We had a great turnout for the Picnic in the Park event and the pictures that everyone sent us in October with the “Eyes” were so fun and fabulous. We hope you enjoyed exploring our parks and hopefully, you were able to visit one you had not been to before. Look out for an announcement about our 2023 events. We are kicking off the new year with another new event – a family campout! More information will be posted soon.

Also in 2022, Fairway Management rolled out its new management software and resident portal so that everyone can view their account activity. You can view and pay your assessments, check on your ARC application, and, if you live in a neighborhood that is also managed by Fairway Management, you can even check on the status of any violations you may have.

Don't be accused of "Crape-Murder" when pruning your crapemyrtle trees. This beautiful flowering tree is one of the most incorrectly pruned plants.

  • Prune January/February
  • Prune dead branches
  • Prune old seed pods
  • DO NOT cut back all the branches
  • Prune branches that are rubbing or crossing
  • Prune sprouts at the base
  • Prune small branches near the bottom to encourage growth at the top
