As the San Joaquin Valley's only Homeownership Center, Self-Help Enterprises helps families navigate housing options through the
Gateway: Homeownership Education Program. Through the program, Self-Help Enterprises offers homeownership preparation classes as well as free financial management, home preservation workshops and program orientations throughout the year.
Below are our upcoming classes and orientations:

Preparing for Homeownership
The class prepares you for the home buying process, including how to secure a mortgage loan, and provides information about down payment assistance opportunities.

Cost: $
75 for the first individual and $25 for each additional borrower on a loan. Class fee includes one-on-one budget counseling.
Financial Management: My Money, My Credit
This interactive class will give you the tools to set a realistic spending plan, trim expenses, understand how to use credit wisely, and learn how to identify unnecessary spending in order to achieve your financial goals.

Home Preservation Workshop

DORIS "DO" DOOLEY SCHOLARSHIP
|
Self-Help Enterprises is accepting applications for the Doris "Do" Dooley academic scholarship. The scholarship, named after Self-Help Enterprises' former Board member and dedicated friend of the organization, was established to assist the children of Self-Help Enterprises' participant families who are pursuing their dreams of higher education.
This competitive academic scholarship is available to students whose families have participated in one of our
programs and who plan to enroll full-time in a vocational or trade school, community college or four-year university. Learn more about eligibility and

Since 1997, Self-Help Enterprises has awarded 117 scholarships totaling $93,750 to deserving students.
