We are excited to announce the addition of Dawn Smith, Director of Development, to our team. Dawn is thrilled to join the Habitat team and raise awareness for its important mission.
In 2021 she and her husband relocated to California's central coast from Gettysburg, PA. She brought with her extensive development leadership experience at a diverse list of organizations across the country including founding and managing the Adams County Library System in Gettysburg, as President and CEO of the Golden and Conifer Chambers of Commerce in Colorado, and on the development team for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Colorado Chapter. She also has experience working for a Milwaukee law office, as the newsroom coordinator for KPBS, the NPR affiliate in San Diego, and in the film industry.
Dawn is married to Rev. Dr. Aaron Smith, pastor of Hope Lutheran in Atascadero. Dawn loves taking photos while hiking, working with the Atascadero Chamber of Commerce staff and contributing to iStock photos. (Her photos on Google Maps have 39,596,359 views and counting!).
