Charles River Conservancy

Celebrate the 25th Year of the Charles River Clean-up!

Earth Day is just around the corner, and this year marks the 25th anniversary of one of the most important events of the year for building awareness and raising funds in support of a cleaner, healthier and more accessible Charles River! Registration for the cleanup will open Thursday, February 1, 2024, and will be on a first come first serve basis.  Please keep an eye on our website and reach out to Sasha (svallieres@thecharles.org) to learn more about how to participate as a community member and opportunities to support as a corporate or institutional partner!

Hell's Half Acre

Explore the parks with our bird guide!

The CRC developed a Bird Guide featuring 21 species found in Hell’s Half Acre and along the Charles River! We worked with local photographer Mike Bryant for his stunning bird photos that he captured in the parks. As you enjoy the parks, bring along the guide and see if you could spot any of the wild birds in our neighborhood. The guide includes information on bird habitat, seasons in Massachusetts, climate threats, and native plants.

Supporter Spotlight

Harvard Business School

Harvard Business School (HBS), a long-time partner of the CRC, is our January Supporter Spotlight. HBS supports the Charles River in many ways, volunteering with the CRC in the parks and providing financial gifts that support our program initiatives. HBS has provided crucial donations for our work to manage invasive species, support native plants, and increase biodiversity. We are grateful for HBS's support and we look forward to future collaborations!
