New "Food Campus"
Coming to Life
We embarked on our "Food is the Foundation" Capital Campaign to expand our facilitates because at any given time, there are 100-150 individuals and families on our waitlist, anxiously waiting for home-delivered, medically tailored meals. This unmet need grows while our current facilities cannot meet the demand.

Our community of supporters has worked tirelessly to raise funds for this endeavor, so it is deeply gratifying to look outside our windows and see our new building coming to life.

Work still remains to be done. However, as our friends from Shawmut Design & Construction pour the concrete, raise the beams, and construct the outer walls of our new "Food Campus," we can envision where we will be able to grow our nutrition education program, expand the geographic reach of our medically tailored meals program, and launch our Food and Health Policy Center that will enable the replication of our medically tailored meal model.

We need your help to put the finishing touches on our facility which will serve more of our critically ill neighbors
in need. Give to the "Food is the Foundation" Campaign today to help us raise what's needed to complete our campaign.

January's No Sugar Challenge !
To start the 2019 off right, our nutritionists have invited Community Servings' staff and our friends to reset our body's sugar intake with the "No Sugar Challenge." To participate, designate a week (or two) to eliminate all added sweeteners from your diet. This means reading ingredient lists on food labels to ensure that there are no added sugars in the foods. Don't worry - sugar that occurs naturally in fruits, vegetables, and unsweetened dairy products like milk, cheese, and plain yogurt are allowed. Interested in joining our efforts to cut back on sugar ? Read more about the "No Sugar Challenge."
When cutting back on sugar, breakfast can be the hardest meal of the day since many of the breakfast foods we know and love like cereal, granola, toast, and oatmeal can often be laden with added sugar. This Spiced Nut Crunch recipe is a salty, savory, crunchy mixture delicious on plain yogurt, hot whole-grain cereal, vegetables, or just eaten as a snack.
