Get Ready for a Blockbuster Event!
Greetings VOS Family,
The 51st annual VOS conference at Lake Tahoe is shaping up to be a blockbuster event! More than 300 people have registered thus far which is a higher number than most venues except Big Sky. Excitement is building as your Board of Directors, Heidi, and the Wolfpack finalize plans. Everything so far is going smoothly, but as this is our first time at this venue, please be patient if there is some unexpected hiccup or two. Currently the resort has a 25-61 inch base with 31 of 35 lifts open, and averages 400 inches of snow each year.
For those VOS members that can’t attend the meeting, you can still participate in the silent auction to snag some good stuff while you support the VOS Education Foundation’s mission of providing academic scholarships, travel grants, and challenging professional development fellowships. Use this link to access the app that will allow you to bid remotely: Register for Silent Auction Pro.

The scientific program assembled by Stan and Mike looks strong. We are confident that everyone will find interesting and stimulating content. We have a talented comedian to entertain us at Foundation Night and an “on the mountain” Scavenger Hunt for the whole family to enjoy. As you schedule your week, please note that this year there will not be any Friday afternoon sessions, so plan to ski till the lifts close!
Look forward to seeing everyone soon in Lake Tahoe. Safe travels!
Yours in service,
Randy Basinger, DVM, ACVS
