2018 Ministry Summary
Join the Celebration!  
"... I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents" (Luke 15:10). Heaven is keeping track of those who are born again. There's a celebration with each person who humbly trusts in Jesus Christ and receives the gift of salvation. Much as a physical birth captures the attention of family and friends in joyous celebration, spiritual birth -- the saving of a sinner who was lost but now is found -- captures the attention of the angels of heaven in celebration.  
 
Please take a few minutes to read through the fruit of 2018 (listed below) and celebrate what God has done and continues to do through this ministry. Your partnership in the Gospel is what allows me to focus full-time on evangelism and discipleship.     • Jan-June 4 MOS groups, 73 enrolled; trained in apologetics
    • Sept-Dec 6 MOS groups, 72 enrolled; taught to live simply devoted to Christ
  • Taught and led 38 weekly youth meetings at Open Door Baptist Church discipling 25-30 teens
  • 125 adults trained in evangelism in Honduras
  • Debbie taught two weekly discipleship groups
    • S.E.A.D.S. - 10 women
    • BRIGHT Lights - 13 teen girls
Celebrating 20 Years of Ministry
2019 is a special year for Simplicity Ministries ®.   August 19th will mark 20 years of full time evangelism and discipleship ministry for Mike and Debbie Thibodeaux. 18 of those 20 years, they have lived and served based out of the Portland, OR area.

  • Mondays @ 6:45pm MOS 1 weekly discipleship with men from Gresham, OR, and First Baptist Gresham, OR.  Also connecting online via Zoom our MOS Connect groups from North Addison Baptist (Spokane, WA), Driscoll Baptist (Spokane, WA) and Generations Church (Salmon Creek, WA).
     
  • Mondays @ 8:00pm MOS 3 weekly discipleship with men from Gresham, OR who have completed years one and two of MOS.
     
  • February 24-27 - "Fanning the Flame" Marriage Bible Conference, First Baptist Church Oxford, Alabama
     
  • March 8 & 22 - Open Door Christian Academy, Troutdale, OR - Chapel
