On Friday, our community came together for a prayer service honoring the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. We call on our community to be extremists in love—radically kind, fiercely fair, and bravely peaceful.
A Message from Our President

Dear Carondelet Community,
It’s been wonderful having our students back on campus after a refreshing Christmas break—their energy is palpable! As we enter second semester, I’m grateful to share and celebrate some highlights from this school year:
- To date, seniors have submitted 2,214 applications to 266 colleges. 141 students have already received acceptances from at least one school, and many students were accepted Early Decision to colleges such as Cornell, Brown, Santa Clara, Tulane, Boston University, Vanderbilt, and more.
-
The Cannon Wellness Center has become a dynamic daily hub. Students embrace the Cannon and recognize it as an environment that meets their diverse wellbeing needs.
- Student participation and service to our dear neighbor is at a high. During Advent, students collected 256 lbs. of crayons for 1,280 pediatric patients in our community.
-
Monument Crisis Center and De La Salle Academy children enjoyed our annual St. Marty’s Party supported by 230 Carondelet and De La Salle students.
-
We were proud to be voted #1 school for athletes in Contra Costa County by niche.com. Our fall sport athletes achieved an average GPA of 3.66, and all varsity teams qualified for post-season NCS play-offs.
-
Sixty-two students from our choir performed the National Anthems of the U.S. and Canada at an A’s game.
-
Our Computer Science program was awarded the AP Computer Science Female Diversity award for expanding young women’s access to AP Computer Science.
- Applications from rising 9th-grade students and potential transfer students are at a decade high and only continue to trend up.
We have the privilege of witnessing these “wins” every day. Impressive accomplishments by our talented and driven students demonstrate that our mission to empower young women to live with heart, faith, courage, and excellence is alive and well. Our commitment to our Catholic education and CSJ charism creates a culture of servant leaders that make a difference in their communities and our world.
None of this is possible, nor imaginable, without your partnership and the incredible commitment of our faculty and staff. We are grateful for your thoughtful participation, generous donations, and continued engagement in the life of our school.
We are passionately dedicated to providing our students with top notch campus facilities that provide new opportunities and support their unique needs, talents, and aspirations. Our Board shares our commitment to sustain the positive trajectory we’re on as an institution—to respond to the needs of the times and to create a campus for the future.
Thanks to you, our collective future is bright, and Carondelet is on the move! There are exciting things to come, and we look forward to building on Carondelet’s forward momentum together with you.
In Unifying Love,
Jessica Mix ‘99
President

'Year at a Glance' Calendars
Carondelet and De La Salle High Schools are sharing “Year at a Glance” calendars for the next two school years, 2024-2025 and 2025-2026. These calendars include dates for the start and end of the year, school holidays, Faculty/Staff PD Days, select key events, and school breaks. Details on all school events and special schedules will be released on each school’s website calendar closer to the start of each semester.
Please note that the 2024-2025 school year has a week-long spring break and an extended Easter weekend holiday. On years when Easter occurs in the latter half of April, this schedule will be used to preserve optimal preparation for AP Testing in early May and to provide a mid-semester respite. The usual Easter Break returns for the 2025-2026 school year.

Parking Lot Reminders
All numbered parking spaces in our lot are assigned. To keep our lot as efficient as possible, please do not pull into numbered spaces when dropping students off in the morning, but rather, please use our drop-off zone between the Chapel and Gym. In the afternoons during pickup time, parents/guardians may pull into an open space while waiting for their student.
Do not park in the neighborhood behind the campus when picking up your student(s). Thank you.
