Spotlight Short Film Festival
Spotlight Short Film Festival is BACK for its 2nd year! On February 4th, 2024 at the Guild Theatre in Menlo Park, we invite you to join us for viewings of local Bay Area filmmaker’s short films! This year is especially wonderful, as we are premiering our 2023 Summer Documentary Program students’ short films in a pre-event showing at the Guild. A NOTE FROM MARK
JANUARY 2024
Happy New Year! From the winter solstice to the new year, I was able to reflect on my time back at the Riekes Center over the last year and a half and on our goals for the future. During the last couple of weeks, I found myself reflecting on times when Gary (Riekes) and I discussed what brings out the best in people, and inevitably, the conversation would steer toward the Riekes Center. We discussed how the programs and methodologies of the Riekes Center enable one’s best to come forth. And that the impact of that individual growth has a significant impact on the greater community—families, schools, organizations, and companies. Gary would be happy to know The Riekes Center continues to do exactly that—help people bring out the best in themselves so that they are able to positively impact each group of which they are a part. So, for 2024 and beyond, we are super excited to expand our reach to more organizations and schools as we continue to play an essential role in our community by helping individuals shine their brightest from the inside out. We’d love to help you, or a group of which you are a part, accomplish a goal. We can’t wait to see you in 2024!
