2024 Nevada Moonshot Flight Crew Application: NOW OPEN!

We are asking for your help in recruiting an awesome cohort of youth across Nevada who are passionate about science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

How to Apply: The New York Life Foundation: 2024 Aim High RFP Grant Program for OST Programs Serving Middle School Youth
The New York Life Foundation is set to award 40 grants to out-of-school time (OST) programs serving youth through their Aim High local grant program. Join us for a webinar on January 11 at 2 p.m. ET to learn more about this funding opportunity, eligibility requirements, and expectations. We encourage you to review the application beforehand, prepare questions, and hear tips on submitting a strong application.

Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO)
The Nevada Department of Education’s (NDE) Title IVB Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant for Cohort 8 has been posted on the NDE grants page. This is a competitive application with awards beginning on 7/1/2024.
NDE will be hosting its second webinar for the NOFO on Tuesday, January 9th, 2024. Please refer to the NOFO for additional information.

According to the Afterschool Alliance’s America After 3PM survey, 78% of participating parents report their child’s participation in afterschool programming helps parents meet their workday obligations; 74% agree programs increase their child’s interest in school; and 83% note the peace of mind the programs offer them.

Nevada Strong Start Child Care Service Center (CCSC) meets the needs of child care providers and families in our state. Child care providers of all types will have one location (including physical locations in Las Vegas and Reno, as well as virtual for all) to access resources, support, and information needed to operate a business and provide the highest quality care available to the families they serve.

Mizzen by Mott, a platform that connects educators with quality content and resources, has changed its name to Mizzen Education. The new name symbolizes the platform’s commitment to working “at the middle” to foster stronger connections within the out-of-school time community.
