Welcome to Spring Semester!

We hope you had a fantastic winter break and/or were successful in your winter session classes.
Choosing WNC to continue or start you career goals through higher education is a life-changing decision on your part. If you still haven't enrolled at WNC, there still is time to become part of Spring Semester 2023. Students can register for full-term classes through Friday, Jan. 27, then will need to submit a late registration form to Admissions and Records.
Students also have the option of taking open entry classes, where they can work at their own pace and enroll as late as the ninth week of the semester.
Additionally, Western offers late-start and short-term courses, many of which begin March 27.

To earn the distinction of making WNC’s Dean’s List, students must complete at least 12 units during the semester and accumulate a grade point average of 3.50 or higher.

Gloria Pieretti's $1.25 Million Scholarship Endowment Stems
from Love of Education
Thanks to Gloria, many future Western Nevada College students will be educated through a $1.25 million endowment in her name as part of the existing Testolin Pieretti Family Scholarship.
Machine Tool Program Benefits from Micromanipulator, AIT donations
Micromanipulator generously donated a Haas Automation VF3 machine and a CMM machine to WNC Foundation, while American International Tooling has provided a tooling donation.

The Computing Technologies professor enlightened Carson City Chamber meeting attendees about the 3D digital world possibilities in travel and tourism, retail, workforce training, health care, real estate and more as technology continues to provide more virtual experiences not possible in the real world.

Students Can Now Register for March 3 Student Leadership Summit
The on-campus summit on March 3, 2023, will include notable speakers, breakout presentations, a student panel and lunch. Register now via the QR code provided in the website link provided.
Capital City Black History Program Event Set for Feb. 9 in Dini Library
The Northern Nevada Cultural Foundation is presenting “Black Resistance: Creating Communities of Care and Collaboration" in partnership with Alpha Nu Nu Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and other Divine 9 organizations at 6 p.m. on Feb. 9 at WNC.
Talks on 'NASA, the Early Years,' 'Forgotten History' at JCDO in February
The free presentations by Mike Thomas are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 17 and Saturday, Feb. 18 at Jack C. Davis Observatory.
Nursing Program Entrance Exam Dates Available in February, March
Students must complete the entrance exam no later than April 1, 2023, to be considered for admission into the Fall 2023 Nursing program.
Driver's Education Classes Offered in February, April
Sign up your child for Western Nevada College's driver's education classes offered Feb. 20-24 or April 3-7 for $95.
