The PIT (point in time) Count is Minnesota's annual count of all persons experiencing homelessness, in both sheltered and unsheltered situations. The PIT Count also happens nationwide every year and is required by HUD, the US Department of Housing and Urban Development. Valley Outreach supports this national effort annually. The Stillwater PIT Stop is a one-day event during the winter to serve those in need, especially people experiencing homelessness, with a place to stop in, get a warm meal, a haircut and access to shower and laundry facilities, other personal care items and food, and learn about city and county services available to them. We are happy to be part of this additional layer of service! |
