Per the Guidance for the Public Health Emergency (PHE) (cdc.gov) that was released in July 2022, the DPRP team has begun requiring that organizations make their scheduled data submissions in order to maintain CDC recognition. In addition, the DPRP team is enforcing the requirements for maintaining specific levels of recognition, detailed in the 2021 DPRP Standards.
Some North Carolina organizations have now received a notice that their recognition status has change due to unmet requirements, (i.e., data submissions not submitted as requested) for their previous level of recognition.
If your organization’s recognition status has changed, the DPP Coordinator and State Quality Specialist, Kristie Hicks will be contacting your team in January to schedule a technical assistance meeting to develop a plan to begin offering the lifestyle change program again and submit a new recognition application. If you are concerned about your data submissions or recognition status, you may contact Kristie Hicks to schedule a technical assistance meeting.
