CRC Membership Fees Increasing February 1, 2023

CRC Membership fees are increasing 5% on February 1. Letters were mailed in December to notify all current members. View a PDF of the letter and updated fees HERE. If you did not receive the letter, please contact us so we can update your mailing address. The last fee increase was in January 2020. Our team worked throughout the pandemic to provide a safe space for members to continue reaching health and wellness goals. We did not raise fees during this time despite significant cost increases related to operating our facilities. The February 1 increase is the first in three years and will enable the CRC team to continue providing excellent service levels and quality amenities to our community!

January Asset of the Month: Adult Role Models

“Every kid is one caring adult away from being a success story”. – Josh Shipp

Definition: Parents and other adults’ model positive, responsible behavior.

The Importance of Adult Role Models

Adult role models have a tremendous impact on young people. Teachers, coaches, relatives, community members, and other caring adult make a big impact.

What You Can Do

• Smile and say hi to youth you encounter.

• Model hard work, a positive attitude, and respect for others.

• Don’t be afraid to start a conversation with a young person in your neighborhood.

• Demonstrate positive responses to difficult situations, such as offering a sincere apology when appropriate, or trying again when you fail to achieve a goal.

Composting is Now the Law!

Please remember to place yard waste, food scraps and food-soiled paper towels and napkins in your green organics cart. Composting this material instead of sending it to the landfill helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions and is used to create nutrient-rich compost.

Call 408-842-3358 to speak with a Waste Zero Specialist about Recology’s programs and for support including staff trainings, educational materials and free food scrap recycling containers.

Water Days Change

Water is always a precious resource in Morgan Hill and with this in mind, our permanent watering restrictions have been designed to best manage the City's potable water supply. These restrictions will help us avoid or minimize the effects of drought, climate change and the unreliability of the imported water infrastructure that serves the City of Morgan Hill.

From November 1, 2022 through February 28, 2023, watering is limited to Wednesdays only.

  • Applies to all potable water in the City, including wells
  • Irrigation is allowed before 9 AM or after 7 PM
  • Watering is limited to no more than 15 minutes per station
  • Watering returns to the two day a week schedule on March 1, 2023
  • No watering of non-functional turf at commercial, industrial and institutional properties

Complete rules and restrictions can be found at mhvalueswater.com. Customers can report water waste online or by calling the Water Waste Hotline at 408-310-4195. For more information, visit mhvalueswater.com, email environ@morganhill.ca.gov or call 408-310-4169. Thank you for conserving.
