Gene Brady has been working with manufacturers for 25 years, the first fifteen years helping companies market themselves through the advertising agency he founded. For the past 10 years he has been in recruiting, helping companies improve their teams by hiring passionate, experienced people. 

As Executive Director at SCN-Search Consulting Network, he has billed over $29,000,000 in compensation, helping his clients hire over 270 professionals. As part of MRI Network, the world’s largest affiliate recruiting organization with 400 recruiting firms, Gene has been in the top ten of all billing recruiters for the last nine years straight. 

He has helped and is helping his clients hire executives, managers, and individual contributors. A lot of people are in transition - either let go, furloughed, or nervous about their company and are looking for another position.

A Shot in the Arm


A Shot in the Arm: “Something that has a sudden and positive effect on something, providing encouragement and new activity.”

“A Shot in the Arm”--what an interesting idiom, and so very appropriate to describe what we need this January 2021, literally and figuratively. Optimism is in the air as we all hear about the COVOD-19 vaccinations that have begun to roll out to help the world recover from this pandemic. At the same time, it is exciting to hear that many of us in business will be eligible to apply for new stimulus money along with the personal payouts from the US Treasury. The physical shot along with the financial boost is a double “Shot in the Arm,” wouldn’t you say?

Your colleagues at Marketing & Sales Executives of Detroit have designed programs to prepare you for the year ahead. I hope you were able to join us in December for “Developing Your 2021 Success Plan." The program was presented by our friend Greg Coyne, at Sandler Training – Gerry Weinberg & Associates. Greg certainly knows how to pump us up and get the creative juices flowing to prosper in 2021. MSE Detroit is in the process of preparing the recordings of all our 2020 programs for on-demand viewing at a nominal cost. As soon as those are available, we will let you know and publish the details.

Jeff Laskowski
MSE Detroit Board Member and Marketing Chair
Meet one of Marketing & Sales Executives of Detroit’s Directors, and Marketing Chair, Jeff Laskowski.

Jeff has been a member of the MSE Detroit Board of Directors since 2018. Jeff also serves as MSE Detroit’s Marketing Chair, helping to promote MSE Detroit events and membership, as well as assisting in the development of MSE Detroit event programming.
 
Jeff has more than 20 years of experience in corporate communications, public/media relations, marketing, and event management. He currently serves as the senior manager of communications at the Original Equipment Suppliers Association (OESA) where he is responsible for all association communications including event marketing, media relations, social media, and website. He also leads their Automotive Public Relations Council, supports the Communications Executives, Young Leadership 8 and Tooling Councils, and organizes OESA’s annual MarComm Summit.
 
“Being a member of MSE Detroit has given me the opportunity to meet professionals within (and outside of) the automotive industry and experience unique events geared specifically toward the sales and marketing function.
