A new mission to investigate exoplanets has rocketed into space! The new CHEOPS satellite is devoted to gazing at planets orbiting other stars for the next 3 ½ years. Unlike many other exoplanet missions, it will gather data on planets that have already been found outside the solar system, instead of searching for new planets.
