What is Naan?
Naan is a leavened, oven-baked flatbread native to India. The traditional Naan consists of flour, salt, yeast and yogurt to make a smooth and elastic dough. It can be served with a filling or it can be dipped in different sauces.
All our restaurants offer you Naan that comes with many flavors like pesto, onion, garlic, keema and

What's in Our Lunch Buffet?
Looking for an
all-you-can-eat lunch buffet with many
meat,
vegetarian and
vegan options? We have it at Lotus Cuisine of India in downtown San Rafael available
Monday to Saturday from
11:30 AM - 2:30 PM!
The buffet typically have three dishes with meat and chicken as well as 4 or 5 vegetarian or vegan dishes with a large variety of organic vegetables. Plus lots of salad, fruit salad, two Indian desserts and two appetizers.

There are many different fats and oil used for cooking.
Each region of the world has their own favorite. In the tropical climate of India, people prefer ghee, a non-perishable alternative to butter.
Ghee is basically butter that is clarified. It is heated until liquid fats and milk solids separate. Then the milk solids are removed and this gives way for a distinctive flavor which is a stronger nutty flavor.
Indian foods are fattened and blessed with a brush of ghee. Ghee makes the taste of the food so different by only putting a spoon full of ghee on your curries especially like Saag (Spinach), Dal(Lentils), Vegetarian Jalfrezi.
Want to try ghee? Lotus has their own brand of Ghee that we use in our fine Indian cuisine.

A Review For
Lotus Cuisine of India
Came here on our road trip up from Los Angeles to Humboldt County!! My partner and I love Indian buffets but this one in particular was pretty impressive!
I loved their main dishes. Their sides of dressing green salad and lemon and onion was a nice pairing especially with the chicken!!
I will most definitely be going back especially since I discovered their dessert Gulab Jamin was to die for and their wide assortments of main dishes was more than enough to keep me full the whole day!!
