McKenzie Health announces Full-time Expansion to Downtown Williston

Williston Economic Development - McKenzie Health has announced it will begin providing full-time care and medical services in the former Fairlight Medical Center beginning Monday, February 5th. The site will serve as an extension of McKenzie Health’s orthopedic, imaging and walk-in clinics in Downtown Williston. The following services will be provided:

  • Orthopedic Services: Patients can receive comprehensive orthopedic services to help relieve aches and pains in their muscles and joints. Services include evaluations, joint injections, pre-procedural appointments, and post-procedural follow-ups. Referrals are not required.
  • Imaging Services: McKenzie Health - Williston will continue to offer imaging services, including X-rays, CT Scans, MRIs and 3D Mammograms.
  • Walk-in Clinic: Patients can receive same-day care for common injuries, illnesses or ailments, including, but not limited to colds and infections; sprains, cuts fractures or other injuries; aches or pains; vaccines and injections; and more.

McKenzie Health Expansion to Williston

STAR Fund Community Enhancement Program reviews More than 50 Applications

Williston Economic Development - The Williston STAR Fund Advisory Board reviewed and scored more than 50 Community Enhancement applications on Tuesday, January 16th. The board's recommendations will be shared with the Williston City Commission on Tuesday, January 23rd. Notifications of which projects were funded will be released next week. Each year, the Williston City Commission and STAR Fund Advisory Board allocate up to $50,000 for nonprofit groups and organizations to fund activities and projects that improve the quality of life in the Williston trade region.

Watford City High School's Bakken Area Skills Center opens to Students

KUMV-TV - The Bakken Area Skills Center in Watford City opened its doors to students this week. This facility provides expanded space and more opportunities for people looking to start a career in the trades. Inside the health careers lab, students interested in going into the medical field have a lot to work with as the room is lined up with patient beds, mannequins and equipment to give them an in-depth experience. “It’s a great opportunity for us to practice before we actually go into college and work with actual patients,” said Sasha Stieg, a junior who plans on going into pediatrics.

Elite Cabinets and Building Supply opens in Watford City

Roundup - In late August/early September the owners of Elite Cabinets and Building Supply in Killdeer were able to fulfill a longtime request of their loyal customers. They opened Elite Cabinets and Building Supply in Watford City. Josh and Becki Andersen had been supplying the people of Killdeer and the surrounding region with high quality building materials since 2018. They also do construction and were often frustrated with the fact that there was no lumberyard in Watford City and the Andersens were not the only ones frustrated.

New Steakhouse opens in Sidney

Roundup - The building that was formerly Rod Iron Bar & Grill is now the home of Saloon 27 Casino, Steak, and Seafood, Sidney. Shadd and Amanda Cullinan, long time owners of the Ranger Lounge and Casino in Sidney had just recently started another Ranger Bar and Casino in Glendive. They had had their eyes on the Rod Iron for a while. After some careful consideration, the couple approached the owners of the Rod Iron.

Williston Basin Petroleum Conference

The Williston Basin Petroleum Conference will return to Bismarck in 2024. The WBPC is the largest Bakken conference and expo in the world, featuring more than 60 speakers, more than 250 vendor booths, and more than 2,500 attendees.
