Update on Reston Casino Bill

On Wednesday, January 17, Senator David Marsden (D-Burke) formally introduced SB675 which would include Fairfax County as an eligible host locality for a future casino. Following meetings this week with RA Board President John Farrell, Board Vice President Jennifer Jushchuk and RA CEO Mac Cummins, Senator Marsden intends to exclude Reston as a possible location for a future casino. RA Board of Directors Announces Referendum for RELAC Customers



The Reston Association Board of Directors has authorized a referendum on Section VI.2 (b) (15) of the Reston Deed on Air Conditioning Units. Affected members may learn more about this referendum and plan to attend one of two upcoming public hearings on the issue. Members in good standing with Reston Association that are subject to Deed Section VI.2(b)(15) are eligible to vote in the upcoming Referendum. Learn more.

Last Call for Candidates for RA Board of Directors

The deadline to submit candidacy forms for Reston Association Board of Directors. Candidates have until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 26 to submit candidacy forms, which may be sent to the Elections Committee via email at electionscommittee@reston.org or to bcopeland@reston.org. Hard copies must be hand delivered to Member Services at RA Headquarters at 12001 Sunrise Valley Drive.
