Sylmar's Olive View-UCLA Medical Center holds a Farmer's Market Every Friday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Women's Fire Prep Academy

Women’s Fire Prep Academy on

You’ll learn how to use ladders, saws, hoses, and more. You’ll also get fit and ready for the fire service. It’s open to all adults over 18.

The Mayor’s Crisis Response Team provides volunteers with knowledge and hands-on training to help responders provide support, trauma intervention, and resources to survivors.

The Neighborhood Council system was created

across all of Los Angeles to connect LA’s diverse

communities to City Hall and was established in 1999

by an amendment to the LA City Charter.

While Neighborhood Council board members

are volunteers,

they are public officials elected to office

by the members of their community.
