From The Pastor
At Vacation Bible School (VBS), the children learned to “Trust God to Share Wisdom”. They read, and saw, and heard the story about Jesus’ family leaving him behind when he was only 12 years old. Jesus was in his Father’s house asking the Rabbi so many questions about the scriptures and how faith was lived out.
The children and I talked about wisdom and how it can be different than being smart. We talked about wisdom being something we learn and then sharing that with others. And we talked about how wisdom is to never stop learning new things.
Every year I learn something new from these children at VBS. They are such wise children. They take what they learn here at church and share that to the world. They are wise because they know there will always be storms (like when Jesus was asleep on the boat) and they know there will always be scary things that could happen (like Jesus’ parents leaving him behind in the synagogue) and they show me every day how we can put our trust in God through all of life’s varied circumstances. Yes, it is tricky to lead the younger generation, but they are wise and they certainly do know how to trust our God.
I pray you find wisdom in the generations younger than you and learn something new every day.
Grace and Peace,
Pastor Molly
P.S. Thank you to all the volunteers who make coordinating VBS look easy. It is not. And you all make it possible and meaningful. Thank you!
