Rose Hominick

February 27, 1958 - July 7, 2024

On July 7, 2024, Rose went to be with Jesus. We are thankful for her friendship and for how she modelled serving Jesus so well. Rose loved the Lord with all of her heart; she is missed dearly by her husband, Eric, and by her friends. 

Rose suffered from a number of brain tumours and ailments over the years, and she passed away due to cancer in her liver. Let's keep praying for Eric as he mourns the loss of his beloved wife, Rose. 

No funeral information has been set yet, however, it will likely be in August. We will email you once we have the details.

Men's Breakfast

Every second Saturday of the month we invite the men of Jericho Ridge Community Church to join us for a Men’s Breakfast at A&W (6241 200th Street, Langley) at 8 AM. Our next Men's Breakfast is happening on Saturday, July 13. Grab yourself breakfast and join in for a time of Bible study, prayer, and community. We welcome men of all ages! 

JRCC Youth - Young Life

Over the summer, we are still invested into our partnership with Young Life as we continue to search for a new Youth Director. So far Young Life has two hangouts planned (plus a pre and post camp party in August!). Here is what's happening:

India Life Team - Mission Trip to India

August 2-18, 2024

The Schacters are travelling to the Pandita Ramabai Mukti Mission in India with a team from Global Aid Network (GAiN) Canada in August. They are looking for new donated items (school supplies (no paper), fun hair items and socks) to give to the women and girls. Please bring your items on any Sunday until July 28. There will be a bin in the auditorium by Kids@theRidge registration. For more details on what they will be doing in India and how you can pray, you can view the blogpost here.

A Time to Fast & Pray

Last month we announced that we are calling our church family into a season of fasting and praying for Jericho Ridge Community Church. We are asking you to commit to praying and fasting every Monday from now until the end of August. Please be in prayer for God's call of mission and vision for Jericho, our leadership team, our financial needs, and our youth ministry and facilities vacancies. Prayer Gathering

Sundays @ 9:45-10:15 AM

We invite you to come for collective prayer on Sundays at 9:45-10:15 AM upstairs in the Jericho Centre boardroom. Everyone of all ages are welcome. You can also contact prayer@jerichoridge.com for more information or to submit your prayer requests.

"The State of the Heart"

Luke 12:13-34

Join Pastor Wally this Sunday as we continue our sermon series in the Gospel of Luke. We all live with blinders that obscure our eternal vision and disorient our heart from its intended alignment. Jesus teaches us the necessity of taking off the all-to-common blinders of greed, worry, fear, and selfishness so that our hearts can receive God's kingdom coming into our lives.
