In the JRB Financial Pulse #8, we began a series on Investment Fundamentals with an article discussing market capitalization. We continue the series in this issue with a look at growth and value investment styles. These two concepts form the basic building blocks many fund managers use to analyze individual companies and create investment portfolios. In the next issue of the JRB Financial Pulse, we'll show you how to combine these concepts and improve your ability to take charge of your investment portfolio.

Our second article addresses a topic many of our plan participants are facing: how to balance the pressure of repaying student loans with the need to save for retirement. The article suggests a strategy for repaying student debt while saving for retirement, including the tax implications of both.
