Meet Our Care Navigators

Community Outreach Care Navigators are responsible for assisting those in need by providing referrals to health services and community resources. Care Navigators also provide health education to community members, improve relationships between health care providers and communities, and provide additional support to JPS patients.

Ebony Johnson, Care Navigator

I have always been passionate about serving people in need and helping them find opportunities to succeed. Previously, I worked in the Behavioral Health department for six years and I absolutely loved it! I’m excited to be a part of such an awesome organization and looking forward to working with everyone.

Maria Rodriguez, Care Navigator

I am a recent Public Health graduate from the University of North Texas. I joined JPS to be able to make a difference in communities by decreasing health disparities. Whenever I am not at work, I love spending time with my 6-month-old daughter. I am happy to be in this position and I seek to gain more knowledge throughout my time with JPS.

Mental Health Month

Since 1949, Mental Health America, and other organizations have observed May as Mental Health Month by reaching out to millions of people to spread the word that mental health is something everyone should care about. It’s a time to share information, stories, and resources, and we invite you to join us!

MHA’s 2023 Mental Health Month campaign is focused on how our surroundings impact mental health, and we are calling for individuals to look around, and look within.

Community Partner Spotlight

The Parenting Center

For nearly five decades, The Parenting Center has ensured that our Fort Worth and Tarrant County neighbors have never had to travel life's journeys without a village to support them along the way.

Since 1975, we have remained committed to our early established efforts to end child abuse and neglect in the homes and communities we serve, while also evolving our scope of services to meet the growing and specialized needs of families, parents, couples, youth, individuals, and you.

The Parenting Center exists to help people better navigate life’s challenges and the complex relationships they create and maintain with themselves and others. From families, parents, adults, teenagers, kids, couples, and caregivers, The Parenting Center has everyone covered.
