THE WOOVS WSG BROWN LIQUOR BAND

The Woovs bring something special to the stage, and their fans bring something special as well. There is something so organic about the Woov’s sound that it is almost difficult at times to capture. Soul. Heartfelt lyrics, haunting at times, universal and thought provoking. Rugged and emotional, with catchy melodies and well constructed songs, they have a diverse song portfolio. Alternative, with a sound spanning rock, blues, folk, and even reggae; the Woovs transpire into a sound that is uniquely their own. Throughout the years they have had no shortage of talented musicians demonstrating their instrumental prowess on keyboards, guitar, bass (even upright at times), and sax. ” – The Fiddle Revolt

THE WOOVS are: Adam Lengyel – Guitar/Vocals, Kevin Hamric – Guitar, Brant Novak – Bass, Daniel Kshywonis – Drums, Taylor McIntosh – Saxophone and BJ Bishop – Trombone.

Amber sounds with hints of vanilla and honey, The Brown Liquor Band was formed in 2017 and released their debut album “#BrownLiquorMusic” in 2021.The band consists of Taylor Carano(Vocals/Guitar), Daniel Rylander(Drums/Percussion), & Spencer Cutlip(Bass/Keys) and is currently performing around the Northeastern Ohio area in support of their sophomore album release “Small Batch EP” released in September 2023.

IMPORTANT NEWS & UPDATES

OHIO SALES TAX HOLIDAY 7/30 - 8/8

EXTENDED TO DINE-IN ORDERING AT RESTAURANTS FOR FIRST TIME

The sales-tax hiatus that Ohioans enjoy each year is being extended to restaurants for the first time. The state’s sales tax holiday traditionally applies to retail stores, but this year restaurants will be included. The tax hiatus runs midnight Tuesday, July 30, through 11:59 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8. Recent legislation added inclusion of dine-in food sales at restaurants as part of the tax break.

Some limitations are in place. Alcohol is not included. Total price of “buy one, get one free” or similar deals cannot be averaged to qualify both items. Dining checks may not be split so that a portion is under $500 with the remainder charged separately.

According to the Ohio Department of Taxation: “Since food is taxable when it is ‘dine-in,’ any menu item that is less than $500 would qualify for the sales tax holiday exemption, except for alcohol (or any other non-qualified item). For example, a total check may be over $500, but if each menu item ordered is less than $500, then the entire check would be tax free.”

Discounts, coupons, loyalty programs and gift cards that reduce the price of an eligible item to $500 or less are allowed. (SOURCE: Cleveland.com).
