THE HELEN KEYES COLLECTION
Helen was a longtime assistant to the Kennedy Family. Her father was the dentist to
Joe and Rose Kennedy’s children and the families children became young friends.
Helen played a major role in the 1952 Senate Campaign famous “Ladies Teas” and continuing that into the Presidential Campaign in 1960. Helen was given the task
to head to Ohio later in 1963 to work on strategy for the JFK re-election campaign working on that up to and Including Nov 22, 1963 when that effort came to a tragic stop. She was part of the team for Jackie Kennedy’s desire to answer every condolence received. After that Miss Keyes was asked to work by Bobby Kennedy on the new JFK Museum efforts. She also worked on Bobby’s Senate run and when Bobby decided to run for President, Senator Kennedy made her the National Treasure for the campaign. After his assassinationshe was brought back into the JFK Library position.
