Meet Our New Board Member!

Wendy Andrew

I started volunteering with JCCB 6 years ago. I came home from my first Holiday Shop and was so impressed with the store and how neighbors were helping neighbors. I got my family involved with volunteering for a shift that same year, and have continued bringing in new groups to help. I have continued volunteering at shop and have added Festival of Trees, Volunteer Team, and I am currently on the Holiday of Hope Committee.

JCCB inspires me every time I volunteer at shop and witness the joy the clients get from picking out toys, coats and other things for their family. I also enjoy watching and hearing new volunteers talk about how much they got out of helping their neighbors in need.

The ones that really get me are the volunteers who tell their story of being a client and how much it means to them to be giving back now as a volunteer.

We appreciate Johnson County Young Matrons - Women Serving and Supporting the Community. For 46 years JCYM has supporting or Mission of Neighbors Helping Neighbors. These ladies are one of our largest donors financially and also collect merchandise during the year as well as volunteer during our Festival of Trees and Holiday Shop. They are ALL IN! We couldn't do what we do without them.

Thank you again for your dedication and sacrifice to make sure our neighbors have what they need during the holiday and winter month.
