Let's Talk About Tagging Guns!

Hello Shellie,

This tagging shortcut is an important one. Too often we have to reject items perfect in every way EXCEPT for Tagging Gun Misuse. 😢 That sounds scary, what does that mean? HOLES! Holes caused by tagging guns are not repairable.

Never fear, help is HERE! 🦹‍♀️ At JBF we WANT you to succeed by cleaning out your closets and making some money in the process. Keep reading if you want to learn HOW TO best use a tagging gun. 💪

How to Use a Tagging Gun:

What You Need 🛍️

  • Tagging gun
  • Barbs
  • Extra Needles*
  • Patience (there's a learning curve)

Below is the link the JBF Harrisburg Amazon Store where you can find all the things that you need to start tagging in once place!

* Fine Point / Fine Fabric Needles are BEST for tagging because they create a smaller hole.

The Cliff Notes 📝

Using a tagging gun is an easy way to speed up the tagging process and is a great resource. Remember these tagging tips...

Only Tag Through:

  • An Existing Tag ✔
  • A Thick or Heavy Seam (Arm Pit or Neck) ✔
  • A Finished Inside Seam ✔

Different Types of Holes in Fabric:

  • Safety Pin Holes MOVE the threads to the side
  • Safety Pin Holes will vanish with steam or a regular wash/dry cycle
  • Tagging Gun Holes BREAK the threads when pushed through fabric. 🚫
  • Tagging Gun Holes ARE NOT repairable in fabric. The threads are damaged. 🚫

Clothing that is tagged improperly, ruining the garment, will not be accepted.
