The next AmChams of Asia Pacific virtual door knock will be on the increasing restrictions of US outbound investment for China – what businesses in the region need to know on what is happening, what could happen and how this may impact the region.

 

Ryan Hass, Senior Fellow, Brookings Institute, and Senior Advisor, McLarty Associates, who served as the Director for China, Taiwan, and Mongolia at the National Security Council (2013-2017), will once again provide his insights to the AAP for this virtual door knock.

 

He will be joined by Christine Daya, Partner at DLA Piper. Her cross-border investment representations are focused on national security reviews before the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS)

S.A.M.E. Guam Post Opens Registration For Guam Industry Forum 2022


Scheduled for November 14 -16th, the forum will discuss billions in Department of Defense projects slated for the next five years.


The Guam Post of the Society of American Engineers (S.A.M.E.) announced on August 25th the opening of registration for its Guam Industry Forum 2022 event from November 14-16, 2022, at the Dusit Thani Guam Resort. The three-day event will welcome speakers and attendees from around the globe to network with U.S. Military decision-makers and team up with other service providers for local contracts. Architectural and engineering service for GEDA programs and projects


The Guam Economic Development Authority (GEDA) is requesting for proposals from individuals or firms to provide architectural and engineering services to assist in programs and projects to expand and improve Guam’s economy. GEDA anticipates the first project will be the Guam Green Markets Projects. The project is intended to repair, renovate, and storm-harden green market facilities in Agat, Mangilao and Sinajana to add space for small businesses and entrepreneurs at existing public markets.

 

The RFP is available for download on GEDA’s website at www.investguam.com. Submission deadline is Friday, October 7, 2022 at 4:00p.m. at the GEDA Office (ITC Building, Suite 511, Tamuning, Guam).
